NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)
2010 - present
National Novel Writing Month is a month-long event run by the Office of Letters and Light. They run sessions in November, April, June, and August. Participants attempt to write a 50,000 word novel or 100 page screenplay over the course of a month. If you reach that goal, you are considered a winner. For more information, go to www.nanowrimo.org
November 2011: won with my first draft of When the Stars Fall, a young adult fantasy novel.
June and August 2012: wrote the rough draft of the book, music, and lyrics to my musical screenplay, Twice Upon a Time.
November 2012: Attempted Beauty is Blind, a retelling of "Beauty and the Beast," but only was able to write 5,000 words.
January 2013: Attempted Beauty is Blind again, and got out another 5,000 words before my computer died and took all of that writing away.
April 2013: Started over on Beauty is Blind.
November 2013: Rebelled and edited When the Stars Fall, finished and "won"
July 2014: Hoped to actually write Beauty is Blind - wrote about 22k. Got stuck because love stories are hard.
November 2014: To keep myself writing, wrote a Disney fanfiction called Tales Untold.
Graduated in 2013.

Placed in the Creative Writing Contest every year from 2005 to 2009, placing first in 2006 and 2009.
